I actually got a fair amount of stitching done today on my cirque. I will prob update the picture tomorrow night after our company leaves. Seems like my hubby didn't get sick after all just a sore throat for a day and a half and thats it. Wish I was lucky like that!
I finished reading Mockingjay today. Has anyone read the Hunger Game series? I read all three books I found the 2nd one to be the best one of them all. The third one had a hard time keeping my interest and it seemed like in the last couple of chapters there was a rush to end it or something, do you agree? I am looking forward to see the movie though if I have the chance to that is. I think my movies are limited right now until babe gets a bit bigger so we can leave him with grandpa to watch.
The wind is sure blowing around here and I'm sure we will wake up to more snow on the ground tomorrow.

wow almost 200 followers! (have you seen Daffycat has over 1000 that's just amazing - wonder how she does it! It must be her dancing cow.) How lucky am I to have these readers stop by to read some of the goings on of my life and the nonsense too :). Thank-you for your comments.

I got a few more stitches in cirque last night its coming along S-L-O-W-L-Y. Of course my Mojo comes back as soon as the pregnancy is over and I am not sleeping go figure! The only time I seem to have is when baby goes down in the evening which can be anywhere from 8 to 12 pm.
Anyways he is still feeling effects from the needles and hubby is now getting my cold I just got over last week. I hope it doesn't ruin our Sunday get together when Trina and Todd are coming to have Fondue.
My hubby leaves for Quebec on superbowl Sunday and by the looks of the pictures on the news and that my brother in law emails me they will have great weather for skiing!!

So I have been trying to hit all the hermit stitching blogs the last couple of days. I think I did about 50 out of 166. I read them when son and hubby are sleeping and I'm not.
Nicola (BOY) has hit his 2 month birthday today and has had his first needles and I didn't even cry. So proud of myself! Looks like I have some more healing to do myself but otherwise appointment went well.
I hope to get more stitching done tonight if baby goes down soon

Before

I only got about 3 hours of stitching in with the baby but I completed a circle so I'm glad!

I would have had time to stitch last night but we had our staff Christmas party. It was a blast! My boss gave out two blackberry playbooks and 2 Ipod touches as prizes. All I could say was wow and the playbook would have come in handy in the middle of the night. Oh well maybe one day I'll afford one. Here is a picture of my boss, Nicola and me.

Look at this beautiful owl that visited my backyard today. He was perched there almost all afternoon.

well changed the hearts they had put in the pattern for this row, I like them a lot better and was way easier!

So in this row (in the middle) I thought maybe I would try to try out some hardanger I only have 1 diamod shape down and still thinking weather or not to do cut work or just add something to the middle....hmmmm what to do...

This is what my bed looks like in the evening lets see...
Cat (Jasper), computer, cross stitch, remotes, phone, extra pillows, rattle, and Nicola. Close by on table is a good book, bottle, 2 soothers, water, diet pepsi (no more reg for me :( except as a treat) and a travel ott light. This is all just to make me comfortable for my evenings and usually happens most nights from 7 pm on. As I put it I am stuck there so I bring everything I would want with me just in case.

Jayne Nicola loves his blanky!!! So do I!!

P.S. I will be adding pictures to the new tab I made for the ort boxes shortly(meaning hopefully this weekend when baby is napping) I could not find the pictures anywhere.

What a Night of Surprises!!

Well today was a pretty hectic day ended up really good though! I got up this morning knowing I had to finish up the boxes I was making for two of the stitching sisters bdays that were this month along with mine. Hubby didn't get up till one then left and went to Costco then baby boy decided to cry most of the time he was gone. Anyways Here is what I accomplished by 6 (was supposed to be out the door by then).

I think the donkey one turned out better personally but they both were loved by there owners.

Trina LOVES the wizard of OZ and I just happen to come across this pattern so it was perfect timing!!
Anyhow tonight was suppose to be a celebration of birthdays between Trina, Martina and I but turned out I was dooped and it was actually a baby shower with a cake too!

My husband and I are very greatful for all the wonderful gifts especially the time that went into the handmade ones, They will be cherished forever!

Trish has a great grand-baby on the way - her and Nicola got along just fine for the few hours I was there.

Here is another couple pictures of my little man before I go...now I have to finish his birth sampler, its next on the list as well as my Feb ornie-since the donkey is my January one ( I cheated shhh)

So yesterday morning after 6 1/2 hours of sleep yeah!! My hubby took me to do errands. I hate when you have to go to a million stores and in each store you need only 1 thing. Anyways got that all done and am ready to get some of my stitching presents finished before next week. I received my Canadian scissors from the postman yesterday along with LizzieKates HOHOHO. now just waiting for my material for Casting a Spell to come in and one of Lizzies Fat man patterns to come. I am joining a SAL for that one, it is suppose to start in March. So I have to get some stuff stitched before that, (I hope)
Oh yeah these are the scissors mom found for me to add to my ginger collection. Does anybody else collect them?

Well sleepless night but good day today. Trina and her hubby came to visit for a bit this afternoon. We were running around trying to get the place vacuumed cause they would have went home covered in kitty fur.
Which would not have been good for allergies. Anyhow got that done and dealt with my fusspot all day. Have had a little bit of time to stitch but not feeling up to it tonight. Tomorrow well tonight I hope to sleep then tomorrow I can stitch and get another chunk of the sampler done.

I was able to get the baby's name date and weight stitched last night. Have no idea how I did it stitching by the light of the Christmas tree but I did. Anyhow my hubby and friend said that is looked good. I am not too sure about the weight something is throwing me off about it, but hey if you guys say it looks ok then I'll leave it. Well today went a little more smoother. We took the baby for a car ride and it put him to seep. Then headed to LCBO (liquor store) because I can have alcohol at Christmas yeah!!! I can't wait to drink my black tower!! We also stopped by the mall really quickly to pick up my Christmas/Birthday gift from my hubby. I can't wait to where it. Its a charm that has the baby's name and a small ring charm that has his birthstone in it. I just have to get it engraved after Christmas with his birth date on the back. For some reason they couldn't do it when it was ordered gotta love peoples jewelry!

Anyways sitting beside my stitching but haven't yet to pick it up. I think I'm scared to start the lettering for the name because I just know I'll be frogging.......

So Next year I am GOING to finish one of my huge UFO's. I am starting to make my UFO list and my want to stitch list now. I hope to see some of them crossed off by the end of next year. The only thing is-is that I do not know whats in store for me with the new baby and all. I guess we will have to play it by ear or day by day.

Has anybody seen the new telus commercial with the owls!! I love it!!
I will be done my cross stitch at the top of my sampler tonight and moving on to put in the babys name, date and birth weight.
Man I hate this part, I graphed it all out today but I have a feeling once I start stitching it I will be frogging to so everything lines up proper. I sooo suck at this, hope to start that part tomorrow While hubby and fil go and do errands.

I actually had some time to stitch yesterday!! I didn't get much done but hay I guess 1 stitch or two or 1 thread is better then nothing.

Its funny how things that you learned as a kid that you wouldn't think about come back to you when you least expect them too. For example I used to watch Sharon Lois and Bram, Fred Penner ect. and what do you know...in the middle of the nite i just randomly started singing apples and bananas LOL then my hubby put on the radio LOL Guess he didn't like my singing.

Last night a friend from work came over from Oakville to spend some time with the baby and us for a 2nd time. She also came to the hospital to see me and the baby. It was really nice to have her over since no-one has really come to visit us other then our parents and our neighbor. I don't know why, but I am guessing maybe because shopping and Christmas stuff has gotten in the way?

I was hoping to go see Breaking Dawn at the movies but if I go my hubby wants to come, we don't feel relaxed enough to leave the baby with my father in law yet. We should have done it when my parents were here oh well.

Today I am trying to finish the finishing on my ornie for the Wednesday night exchange for the stitching sisters and get the cards together. I hope I don't miss anyone as all my lists have disappeared somewhere. If anyone has a list of just the names of all the girls and want to e-mail me I would be grateful!!

Tonight is our stitching sister dinner at a Greek. Italian restaurant and I am staying home and having some weird meal that my husband ate growing up instead of tazeki and pita.
After a few hard days things are getting better around here, we have done 3 outings and they have all seemed to go ok. We went to my work yesterday and everyone was happy to see the baby. We also went to the fertility Dr. that had helped us and they were all excited to see the baby too- that was a little teary eyed visit since I would not have Nicola if it wasn't for the staff at that office! I'm very grateful!
Well supper time, I hope the girls are having fun and I will get to see them next Wednesday at stitching.

After having a few days to breastfeed the good stuff. We have decided to formula feed the little one. He is much happier and so is mommy.
Yesterday we had a good day out with my parents shopping and seeing Santa.
Today is there last day here so we are going to have a relaxing day. (I hope)
Tomorrow is photo day here. We have a nice baby photographer coming tomorrow to shoot "sleepy baby photos" I can't wait!!! She is here from 10-2 I guess it takes a lot of time to get baby and props ready for the shoot! I am hoping to that she will do a family shot for us otherwise I am going to get my hubby to go to sears with me to get those done in a few weeks.

Cross stitch is really on the backburner right now until a schedule is established, and things return to somewhat normal (as normal can get with a new little one) then I hope to stitch when I can in the evening for a break and get back to my Wednesday night stitching with the girls.

8 lbs 8 ozs 21 inches born November 25th at 9:09 pm after pushing for 2 hrs and in labor since 8 am that morning. didn't receive epidural till i was 9 cms and by then my poor husband broke down because he felt helpless.

But now he is here and healthy and we are trying to find a routine sorta and so far i guess its going ok

Well my grandmas birthday, a snow storm back home, and tomorrow is my moms Christmas party. All have passed without any sign from baby other then he is still kicking away. My hubby went to see his Dr. today and he is also an obstristrician so he answered any of his worries and he (hubby) looked a lot better when he came home. Oh well another day done.

well I ended up making it out to stitching last night even though it was a close call. By that I mean, I had gone to my check-up around 2. And Midwife checked for dilatation (which I was 1 cm) and did a membrain sweep on me so started cramping right after I got home.

It was very nice to see all the girls again since I hadn't seen them since late August. Three of the girls were knitting and of course as soon as I saw that I wanted to do it too. Only I don't know where my needles are lol. And my room is clean - I mean my craft room so hmmm I wonder where I put them?? That actually might be a good project for me to find out what I did with them. The only thing I can knit is scarfs and the only thing I can crochet is granny squares lol. Well if all else fails maybe I'll do some more grannys.

I stitched a bit more on the babies sampler, its coming slowly.

Finished stitching my ornament for this years Stitching Sisters exchange, just have to figure out how to put it together. Sorry can't post picture as some read my blog and don't want to spoil anything.
I think now I have all my Christmas shopping done and done. Just working on stitching one special thing for a friend and that's about it. I had to cut way back this year, with hubby on EI and I on Mat leave. Finances are pretty sparse this time around.
About 16 days left to go he still hasn't dropped and I'm uncomfortable most of the time. Still going to try and make it to stitching on Wednesday even if I only go for an hour.

basement cleaning, organizing and reading

Last night was a total bust after going to Mary Maxim and having a late supper. Stitching didn't really happen. But reading did till about 3 am with my hubby waking up and telling me to go to bed. Reading and watching tv with the light on doesn't make it ideal conditions for falling back to sleep. Oh well I gave in and 1/2 hr later hubby said I was snoring so I guess I didn't feel tired but my body was.
I am reading the help didn't think I would really like it but it is actually interesting and I'm sure some of the facts on how Black people were treated back then are true to history.
Anyways today even without sleeping a lot I started tackling my craft room, I got a fair amount done and changed around.
I think I found a way to store my fabric too, once I get that done I'll post it.

ok I have a BIG QUESTION for all you crafty organizers out there.

How do you store/sort your stitching fabric????

Right now I am using a bin for 28 ct and a bin for 32 its not working for me though. For one I have too much fabric well for the bins that is. and second I would like a way to organize colour too. I need some good ideas and lots please!!!!

Man I can't believe this, are you ready?? I actually stitched yes I did and guess what there is more. I have actually stitched 2 days in a row!!!!!! YEAH there is hope for me and my mojo yet!!!!!!

I worked on the baby sampler both days, I am totally finding it frustrating but am trying to work through it and hoping the end product will come together with the colour changes and stitches/row changes. I wish I could just change things up like my friend Jayne can but sometimes it looks worse. Here's crossing my fingers that it works. I'll post a picture when I get a little further to see if you stitcher's think it works. That is if you are still reading because I know its been a while since I showed stitching and I might have got boring to you guys. Sorry for that!

I have about 27 days left of this pregnancy to go. Baby has not dropped yet. I did go for another ultrasound I think this makes my thousandth now. But everything looks good, just measuring big. Baby is about 6 lbs right now.
I am hoping to make it to the stitching group in November at least once but who knows what will happen in the next couple of weeks....cross your fingers....I'm ready for baby boy to be here!!!

Pregnancy is getting pretty rough lately. The Braxton Hicks have started, sore tummy and no room for baby to move. But he hasn't dropped just yet. Saturday I went to the Hamilton Baby expo and was soon home since I found it not as good as the spring one I attend with hubby. Sunday we had Trina and Todd over for fondue and kinda ran out of everything....guess there is a first time for everything!

Blanket finished

I am at 34 weeks now so not much time left. I think we are ready though. The nursery is done and the shopping is done. Now its just to wait on the baby and to finish up my prenatal classes. Oh yah and work--three weeks to go then I'm on mat leave yeah!!! I cannot wait!!! So now the next thing on my list is to finish the babys' sampler which really I haven't worked on since classes started. I really want to stitch but then when I go to pick it up it just seems easier to lay on the couch and vegetate.

I am still waiting for the stash I ordered in September to come in its going on a month in the mail now so hopefully it will be here Tuesday.

I finished the blanket too I was working on for the baby. I actually can't figure out what I did but the row is suppose to meet up and I could not see the start/end. So its not perfect but it will work for a blanket on the floor or in the stroller or out at camp.

Anybody have ideas how to cheer my mom up from 6 hours away. She is just not having a nice weekend at all!!
You know with me being 33 I really do understand how hard it is to find good friends that you can relay on and really say they will be in your life.
What I don't understand is how in one summer someone can switch there attitude and basically turn around to others that as far as my opinion is concerned they are far worse influences with no good reason. There was not a fight as far as I know. My mom and Dad had always helped them out when they needed it no questions asked. I know myself and my husband had high respect for this person but now our opinion has drastically changed. We have never seen someone do this and now will not be expecting much. Expecting is the wrong word but can't think of another one right now.
I am not saying my mom is an angel she is like me (just better) and says what she thinks and sometimes we are hurtful that way. But I have always said if I ever say anything come to me and confront me.
I just hope that my mom will go on as she does and enjoys the friends that really treat her as a friend!

This being Thanksgiving -- I can truly say I am Thank-ful for ALL 17 of my Stitching Sisters and the few friends that I do have that mean the world to me! Sheliah, Erin, Christina, Kristen, Barb, Karen.

Still no box in sight of the stash that should be arriving any-day now with my Christmas ornie issue I can't wait!!!
All my tests came back on Thursday and everything was ether normal or negative so no gestational whooohoooo!! I can't tell you how scared I was that I would have to give myself insulin everyday like my grandparents did.
We started our prenatal classes too which were fun even though they were not as fun as stitching with the girls. Thursday I woke up with a terrible sore throat and it continued into Friday so I ended up staying home from work so I could sleep. Now here is Sunday and sore throat is gone but now I can't breath or take anything for it yuck. I am just hoping it will be gone soon cause I have a long drive ahead of me on Friday.

I have been stitching a bit but it is a Christmas gift so can't post any pictures....

Well I decided something today....I don't like it though lol
What I decided is that before I start Alpine Seasons I am going to finish my ufo's. The only new projects I am going to start will be ornies.
I was going through my threads for Alpine and am still 6 colours short damm so I will have to order those too from somewhere that sells glorianna princess petite thread. Oh well I will be on the search tonight on the web. I have been trying to finish up one of my ornies that I don't happen to like just because it is taking forever cause its 1 over 1. I am determined to finish it tonight though!!

Even though there is some closer because of the death of Osama there is still heartbreak and questions unanswered.

Maybe I'll have to steal away on a weekend day to someones house to stitch a bit if they will have me and I need to get away from my house for a little while.....we will see I guess

Well I stayed up late last night to finally finish this piece. It was suppose to be done in June but oh well. It turned out pretty nice. There was suppose to be doves at the top but I omitted them. Didn't go with the color scheme. Then I had first done the names in kreinik but they did not show up, so last night I went back and added some grey over it and it popped more.

Hoping to get one other thing done on my to do list that I have been putting off and that is putting all my floss away for older projects I don't like doing it but I also don't like not being able to find my floss!!

Long weekend day 1

It was so nice having the day off today...until I saw the grocery store flyer and ended up having craving so off I went grocery shopping for a couple hrs.
Then I decided to maybe do something on my to do list so I got the piece that Jayne was so kind to stitch for me stretched and framed.

Now it has it place right above my scissors yeah!
Then I started browsing blogs for a while and changing mine around a bit.
I ended up putting in a stash order for me and Trina last night at the silver needle and decided this morning that I would like to do the Reed stocking from Shepherd's Bush for my baby's 1st Christmas. So I e=mailed them back and asked them to add the fabric for me to the box. I have always wanted to do one of the stockings so now I just hopefully have to complete it before Christmas haha that will be a huge undertaking me thinks.
I had to share this picture that my hubby thought was funny....

I had my one cat asleep between my legs and the other purring the baby...he is laying to the side of my belly don't worry. Man it was still uncomfortable though because I couldn't really move lol.
So now just enjoying spending time with hubby and watching night at the museum and going to try and finish up my managers wedding sampler that is late.....

Yesterday I was actually able to make a quick fast dessert for the potluck and it seemed to go over well.
It was great to see some of the gals that don't make it out to often.
I even smiled ....
I brought just a little project to work on which was LizzieKates January Flip it and almost got the month name stitched. I'm going to bring it to the lab when I have me glucose test done because it is such a looonnnnng test.
The girls were giving me friendly advice about not to stress and worry about the pregnancy but easier said then done.
We had our hospital tour today, boy I didn't realize how many rules there are. Eric lit up everytime he heard or saw one of the newborns it was soo cute!
It was nice to be shown where to go and stuff so my nerves are a little better since I had never been to the hospital here yet.
Hopefully everything goes smoothly they say I will be in there about 24 hrs depending how things are going but because I have a midwife I could be released earlier but I don't think that will happen just because of my convertibility.

Anyhow off to work I now go even though all I want to do is go to sleep I think I am in for a long 5 hr shift that's for sure!.

Stitching tonight!! Oh yeah and food!!!!
Tonight is our Potluck for the end of Summer at Pennie's I'm sure it will be super yummy. JUst wished I hadn't worked so late that I could have made something home made. I don't like buying things usually fro potlucks but oh well guess I will go pick something up on my way home tonight and make the best out of it. I hope that whatever in my back has been bothering me doesn't flare up again, it makes it really impossible to stitch without pain.
I woke up this morning with a smile on my face since my baby was already kicking and squerming away which he dosen't usually do till after I have ate my breakfast. It was a pretty nice wake up call!

well had to redo the row of entwined hearts I'm working on...ripped out put it back in thought it was right nope wrong. Oh well kept going and it meets with the sides so going to leave it be as is argghh. This sampler is soo pretty but it is such a pain with some stitches I'm doing for the first time and colour changes along with it cause I didn't like all the original colours.

Didn't realize I was so behind in my photo album of pictures for cross stitch. I am usually so organised. I think all my good traits have been thrown out the window since I got pregnant.

As you can see at the top I had my 4d ultrasound. So hubby is happy that baby was reconfirmed as a boy haha.
I love his little face it's so cute. My mom and I were trying to figure out if he had my hubbys hairline which sorta looks like a w but rounder.

I got his name all painted and decorated and hung above his dresser now onto really finishing his ampler. I have two movies to watch today so maybe I can get some done on it I hope!!!

Well the massage didn't work out on Saturday Since the massage person didn't show up call or cancel. So had to re-book for tomorrow in Oakville at another place.
Anyways guess what I found!!!! My needles yeah, now I can give Trina's back since I didn't use them and use my own yeah!! I guess I had put it in the bag I used last for swimming and totally forgot they were in the side pocket.
I also found a frame for the piece Jayne stitched me so hoping to have that stretched and framed by Sunday maybe.

Well my needle case with all of my stitching needles has gone missing. My female cat loved to bring it upstairs she thought it was a play toy and now all of a sudden it has now gone missing.
So this afternoon decided to tare apart my craft room....looked in all my bags (which are alot), threw my boxes of projects which would be the right place to have found it, on shelves behind couch under bookcases tables ect. NO LUCK. Thanks to Trina I now am the owner of 1 pack of petite John James. It is also with bad timing since our local LNS has closed its doors. So I think maybe a road trip is in my future to Gitta's so I can restock my needles. Speaking of them I have to send off an e-mail I ordered a table runner months ago and still haven't been called about it hmmmm. They are not quick when it comes to orders!
I can smell my Chicken and dumpling stew upstairs mmmm its going to be a good one this time--even though it has carrots (I do not eat cooked carrots yuck) anyways Kathy I never even thought I might want a light in the baby's room to stitch-- I have a couple portable ott lights so I could always bring one of those up with me. In the daytime that room gets awesome light to stitch by.
well at least now my craft room is clean except putting all my floss from projects away which usually takes me forever and is not my favorite job.....oh well maybe I'll do some tonight..

dumb internet isn't working right tonight... anyways hubby had fun Friday sopping for baby's room. The nursery is complete except for a 2 small touches which I will post later. I am very happy how it turned out and makes me more excited for baby Nicola to come.
We have a 3d ultrasound booked for the 27th so I am counting down till I can finally see his face!

Trina and I went and saw Harry Potter today. It was well done. No I didn't cry like everyone said I would. guess I just wasn't that emotional today!

Well Hi I am still alive after the invasion of the family. Saturday spent relaxing (if only I could have) Sunday took my mother in law and niece shopping for the baby and school clothes, and today ended up going to Port Dover for the day and hubby is sooo happy that there is a beach there!! So tomorrow they leave and I go back to work and life goes on well till I guess closer to November when I'll start to panic again about the baby. I hope my hubby stays true to his word and we are able to go and get the crib and dresser this week if not next. Thought baby's kicks would be a little more frequent and harder by now but I guess not. But am getting more uncomfortable and am finding it hard to stitch for a few hours in the same position without something getting achy. My next thing on my list to do is finalize the shower invites with mom and finish my registry before they are sent out.
Can't wait to finally go and see Harry Potter on Sunday and get my much needed outing with a friend.
Wednesday is dentist then stitching I hope I am back to my normal routine and be able to spend the few Wednesdays I have left with the girls before my prenatal classes start Wednesday nights. Looking forward to going and hoping to see everyone there......ok I'm done rambling now so off I go........

23 weeks starting my 6th month----time is going so slowly

I stayed home from stitch nite tonight wasn't feeling that great. I always feel guilty when I stay home and torn. I want to see my friends but sometimes just feel like I can't do the drive (30min each way). I know its not much but when you are tired from work and dealing with weird heartburn I would rather be in bed napping.

I did start the baby sampler at camp, got some granny squares done and also worked on the baby blanket I had been crocheting (ran out of yarn at camp). Hopefully will have some pictures downloaded soo after I put away all my crafty stuff.

My Mother in law, brother in law, his girlfriend and my niece are coming over as of Friday nite and staying till Wednesday. I love seeing my in-laws but my house is seriously going to be packed! I am so glad I have tv in my room now in case I need to disappear for a while.

I actually won something on facebook- a baby bouncer so will be going to pick it up tomorrow morning sometime. The baby has been kicking up a storm.

well the pattern didn't show up :( On to the next till next week I guess.
Trying to get some of the house clean before all the guys get home (the way I like it).
Then I think I will go downstairs and update cross stitch pictures and I told mom I would make the shower invites so I am going to try some ideas out for that too.
4 more shifts till I go home I can't wait!! Especially in this heat the best thing to do is to be jumping into Lake Superior (with sunscreen haha not getting burnt again)

The baby is moveing all the time now I am hoping maybe my parents will feel him. Eric still hasn't everytime he trys the baby stops its tooo funny to watch his expression I think he just gives up now on trying.

Well yesterday did not work out like I had planned.
I got up ate and started baking the cake for Jayne's bash, my husband came and told me to go outside because there were cop cars and my neighbor was out there. Which I actually didn't think strange because at one time there was a bad guy in our neighborhood and cops stopping and asking people questions was regular.
Anyhow so I trotted off in my pj's outside when I notice that most of her family was there too.....something wasn't right!
So I am sad to say that her husband Jim has passed away in his sleep sometime in the night. It was a very hard thing to grasp since he is my husbands age and we were pretty good friends with him too.
I took Michelle's 2 husky's to my backyard because ours is fenced in so they wouldn't be in the way with everything that was going on.
My husband was devastated never seen him like the way he was yesterday.....Michelle's came over to talk to us a few times and got some much needed hugs. We watch her dogs until the evening after she went to her families for rest and a friend came and picked up the dogs to take care of them until she could.

Tragities sure put life into perspective some time

Well I am at the halfway mark of my pregnancy yeah! I just hope the last months go quickly so I can hold a healthy baby boy in my arms after all these years of wanting and waiting....

Yesterday we were suppose to get a surprise last min visitor but hmmm because he was travelling by Harley the trip was a lot longer. Since it seems I do not sleep anymore (stayed home from work yesterday because I was up all night wide awake) I was awake when he drove into our driveway this morning. I never saw my husband move so fast to get out of bed lol it was soo funny...one min snoring and the next rushing to pull a pair of shorts on. Anyways our guest is Eric's cousin who is close to us and also hasn't been here for a while...we are figuring about 2 years now. Anyways he has come here for a while which really I do not know how long that is. So I have 3 french man in the house for the time being.

Looks like to that our driveway is getting paved today, yeah no more dust, rocks on the lawn or mud coming into the house!!!

I have 15 days until we leave for camp back home and can't wait although it is not going to be the most comfortable while prego I still hope I can relax by swimming and having camp fires if the weather co-operates.

This Saturday is Jayne's backyard bash and I have decided to make my yummy chocolate cake for the potluck...I just hope the icing doesn't melt. 2 more days of work to go then at least off for two days. Maybe I'll actually sleep then get some stitching done .....maybe.....

Sorry Jayne Eric stole my camera and took it to Montreal with him I should have updated this sooner. I'm just a big procrastinater now a days.

If you all are wondering what I am referring too. I was lucky enough to have a pieced stitched by Jayne come my way last stitch night. I am very grateful for it and was just lazy to post but it is going to look awesome in my craft room. I hope to get it a frame for it on our was home through the States at the end of July hopefully.

I have been crocheting lately on my granny squares. but then I realized that the rest of my yarn was accidently put into the storage locker by Eric I guess he thought I emptied it. So I guess tomorrow I will head to Lens Mill to get another ball till I can get to the locker.

Baby Ultrasound 18 weeks!!

Came out of ultrasound today and hubby said --there is no way I can keep this a secret haha poor guy. So our parents know and so do you!
I ate before the ultrasound and the baby was moving all over the place lol the technician was having a hard time taking pictures of him. I forgot to get a printout for the ultrasound book though :(
I am hoping maybe the midwife will give me one or a copy at least.

I keep saying I am going to write more and it never happens! I noticed there are a new pair of ginghers coming out in September. Since I am going home for my shower at the end of September I am hoping to snare a pair and another ott lite too from Jo-anns while I'm there because my parents live on the international border.

Well lets see what I missed blogging...
1) Bruins won the Stanley cup and deserved to win as far as I'm concerned.
2) Vancouver riots made me very sad and disappointed/embarrassed that is not how Canadians act!
3) Headaches have been a pain in my a** this week especially since Tylenol doesn't work much on them.
4) got some more boxes unpacked and stuff moved around in babies room I hope it will be all cleaned out in a couple weeks to the storage unit...its driving me batty. I can't even put the bed in storage yet because I just found out the Erics whole family will be coming in August so I'll have 6 French family members staying in the house plus me and baby, while I WORK, this is not going to be good I am just foreseeing it!!
5)on thursday we went to the midwife and I was a basket case all was well though after I heard the heartbeat and the baby actually kicked me too and we heard it on the Doppler lol. I get to find out the gender maybe on Thursday unltrasound BUT for all of you back at home that read this be prepared we are not telling you till we get home lol you will have to wait longer for the end of July.

Camping Flat fold from Stoney Creek
Finished May 24th, 2011

Well I was suppose to have this little flat-fold done in 1 day and shipped off for my Dads Birthday....haha that didn't happen at all. Well now its done and he will be here tonight so better late then never.

The flat fold was easy to put together but I seem to think there might be a better way of doing to corners and such so next time I think I will get some other advice for techniques but otherwise I like it.

1 more shift 5 hrs to get through and my vacation starts. Starting with my mom and dad showing up tomorrow night then off to retreat till Monday then off to Montreal. Its going to be a quick change over thats for sure, but will be well worth it.
My sunburn is ten times better now. Just got to give away the grumpys to someone. seems like I was getting mad at everything today...is that a symptom of pregnancy or maybe its just pms in the background.
Seems like mother nature thought that we needed a smiggen more rain so it goes again lightning thunder and the whole shabang. Hopefully it will put me to sleep tonight.
well I'm off to see if any bathing suits fit me and then off the bed

Oh boy what a couple of days I've had....mostly in pain that is. My sunburn was worse then I thought to the point I couldn't even put a shirt on sorry TMI. Anyhows I did some reorganizing in my basement for our new roomie that will be here in two weeks. I also did some clean up in my stash but still need to put away newly winded floss and floss for older projects that have been abandoned now. I have decided now what to bring to retreat--Mirabilia's Garnet Fairy. It was the one that popped out and said take me and I new I had all the floss and fabric for it already just had to dig it out of my stash. Well tomorrow will be a long busy shift but it will be 1 more down 2 to go once its over yeah!! and its the hardest out of the three so it will be over with sooner then later which will be good!!

so now at 4:30pm I have accomplished planting new flowers under my tree where the kids (i hope not adults) cut off my tulips. Planted the rest of my pots. Helped hubby plant a new bush because we killed our other one re planting it, pulled dandelions and put some seed down oh yah and got sunburnt haha.

Tonight if my energy stays up I'm going to organize toss an pick out what I am going to stitch at retreat maybe I'll even start it tonight! well we will see. Darn I still have to update that darn circle picture for you readers I keep forgetting! I bought my pj's too for retreat which is a ritual for me when I go I have to have new pj's!!

So yesterday while I was at work someone decided to cut all my beautiful tulips. I was soo sad last night they were sooo nice this year!!! Now I just have stems and don't know what to do with them.

We actually have some sun outside after its been raining all week long here maybe its a good sign for the long weekend!!

Well Now that I can tell everyone, my 3 months is up for my pregnancy. That might explain why I haven't been posting as much. I do have a big mouth and am excited. I am due November 24th and have my 12 week ultrasound tomorrow. Hubby and I can't wait to go and see the baby again. We have had an ultrasound twice now already cause I had to have some close monitoring. But everything is good. Just very tired, well exhausted is more like it.
I am looking forward to my mom being here for her first retreat and to have some time with the girls and the grandbaby to be.

ITS GETTING CLOSE-----RETREAT IS TWO WEEKS AWAY YEAH!!! THE GIRLS WERE ALL EXCITED TONIGHT OF COURSE THAT BEING ONE OF THE TOPICS OF THE NIGHT. TOMORROW I AM ABLE TO FINALLY TELL YOU SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SHARE SO CHECK BACK.
STITCHING WAS A LOT OF FUN TONIGHT A LOT OF LAUGHS AND YOU WOULD SWEAR THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GHOST AROUND WITH JAYNE LOOSING A PIECE OF FLOSS AND NOBODY COULD LOCATE IT HAHA.

Well I actually stitched again last night whoohoo maybe not to jinx it my mojo might be returning again....maybe....
Today there is a huge wind storm going on outside I am not looking forward to heading out to work in this blowing stuff. It taking some of our siding off too so it will have to get nailed up again from a friend since my hubby can't go on roofs. Which is probably a good thing in itself.
All the stitcher's met at the center last night and had some good laughs. But I think all the frogs followed us their as a few of us were ripping out as soon as we had started stitching. Oh well.
I did make it home though after the poor Montreal Canadians lost to Boston 4-3 in OT I guess now we have to cheer for Vancouver because they are the only Canadian team left now. GO CANUCKS GO
