Whooo Hoo for me!!

Okay time to toot my horn. Yes I am having a soooooo better day today. I was suppose to work but just couldn't do it. I went to weight watchers today and was surprised to learn I lost 2.8 lbs. 2.8!!! I haven't lost that much in ages in one week this means I am 1.6 lbs till my goal and I do not have to pay the darn weekly fee anymore yeah!!!! So because of this I got the idea to go to Zellers and see just see if I could fit into my goal size of 12. Well what do you know I did...with room to spare hows that for a big Ho-ray for me I started jumping up and down in the fitting room. If anybody would have seen me they would have been in hysterics!! So I bought the pants of course!! I will have to get DH to take a picture of me in there later so I can show them off.

The weather feels like spring today. I should really go for a short walk but plan on cooking a new recipe for Eric for supper, and watching the last season of prison break. oh yeah and stitching of course!

I finished not my daughter by Barbara Delinsky it was really a great read, sometime her books are slow moving I find but this one was good! I also bought the paperbacks versions of twilight and new moon so if I ever go somewhere I can just pop them into my purse unlike the hard cover ones.

and the last thing is an email I received today that I thought was very nice.

Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor

After tonight's broadcast and after looting our hotel mini-bars, we're going to try to brave the blizzard and fly east to home and hearth, and to do laundry well into next week. Before we leave this thoroughly polite country, the polite thing to do is leave behind a thank-you note.

Thank you , Canada :

For being such good hosts.

For your unfailing courtesy.

For your (mostly) beautiful weather.

For scheduling no more than 60 percent of your float plane departures at the exact moment when I was trying to say something on television.

For not seeming to mind the occasional (or constant) good-natured mimicry of your accents.

For your unique TV commercials -- for companies like Tim Hortons -- which made us laugh and cry.

For securing this massive event without choking security, and without publicly displaying a single automatic weapon.

For having the best garment design and logo-wear of the games -- you've made wearing your name a cool thing to do.

For the sportsmanship we saw most of your athletes display.

For not honking your horns. I didn't hear one car horn in 15 days -- which also means none of my fellow New Yorkers rented cars while visiting.

For making us aware of how many of you have been watching NBC all these years.

For having the good taste to have an anchorman named Brian Williams on your CTV network, who turns out to be such a nice guy.

For the body scans at the airport which make pat-downs and cavity searches unnecessary.

For designing those really cool LED Olympic rings in the harbor, which turned to gold when your athletes won one.

For always saying nice things about the United States ...when you know we're listening.

For sharing Joannie Rochette with us.

For reminding some of us we used to be a more civil society.

Mostly, for welcoming the world with such ease and making lasting friends with all of us.

  1. way to go! and now your fee free...wooooo hoooooo. Have a nice time stitching tonight and enjoy your day off.
    Be always in stitches.

  2. Wow! What a wonderful achievement! Keep up the good work!

  3. Way to go on the weight loss! Your progress is helping me to keep motivated with my own weight struggle. I will have to fill you in on the struggle but I am trying to remember that it will happen slowly since it came on slowly! Congrats on the size 12!

Maybe one weekend you can come out and visit and stitch!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Happy Stitching!

  4. Hi Tammy,

    Congratulations on being so close
to goal with Weight Watchers, and
for being able to get into a size
    12 pant.

    I started Weight Watchers almost
1 year ago this month and made Lifetime a few weeks ago. I too
had that moment standing in the
changing room of my favorite clothing store and fitting nicely into my"dream" size clothes. I also jumped up and down with excitement, and hugged the saleswoman too.

I know that you've worked hard
to get to this point, and probably never dared to hope that you'd actually get this far, but you have!! Good for you!!

Best wishes, and I'm jumping up and down for you too!!

Thanks for commenting, I really like reading them and they make my day more enjoyable
